Once the machine receives the blister pack loading order from the software (whether Medical Dispenser software or other integrated software for pharmacies), the screen displays the steps that the pharmacist must take to make the blister pack correctly. First, the bubble is introduced in the machine and then the medications are introduced one by one in the order proposed by the machine.

For greater safety, the medications are scanned with the Data Matrix reader and then the number of pills indicated by the machine must simply be introduced one by one. The machine will count them and request all the medications needed until treatment is completed. Once this loading process is finished, the blister pack is closed and the corresponding labels are attached. These are automatically printed after the loading process.

No. Operation is extremely simple. You only need to follow the instructions that the machine displays on the screen. With the training provided upon acquiring Medical Dispenser, it can be operated from the very beginning with complete peace of mind.

Before installing Medical Dispenser, it is important to select the correct location based on the following characteristics:

• No direct light. For halogen lights, the machine must be placed over half a meter from the light source.
• Adequate ventilation.
• Temperature of the room never lower than 0ºC or higher than 40ºC.
• Away from any heat source.
• Over any hard and correctly levelled surface.

Yes, our personalised blister packs can be printed with the patient’s photo, which facilitates their identification in a very simple way, so patients do not have to read the information on the label.

On the blister front label there is a QR code that when scanned on the Medical Dispenser QR mobile app (free and available on Android and iOS), the corresponding alarms are generated to remind the patients to take their medication on time. The patients only need to configure when they want the alarms to sound for taking medication at breakfast, lunch, dinner and night-time.

None. The information that is transmitted to the application when scanning the code corresponds to which alarms are generated and for what time. There is no personal or medical information (patient’s treatment).

When the alarm goes off, the patient may:

• ACCEPT the alarm. This is interpreted as the patient taking the medication immediately after the notification. That is, the medication is nearby and can be taken immediately.
• DELAY the alarm. The system enables you to set the delay time when an alarm is activated. Therefore, if a patient does not have the medication on hand, it may be delayed and the mobile phone will repeat the reminder in a few minutes to take the medication.
• DISMISS the alarm. The patient will select this option when the medication will not be taken for whatever reason.
